Happy Valentine's

I really feel like Valentine's day is one of those made up holidays, put there just to make you spend money and gain weight and I don't really need a holiday to make me tell my loved ones that I love them. They already know.
My kids have been on a sugar high for the last 3 days. Not just from the candy they got from school, but from the sugar cookies I made to the homemade (all from scratch) double layer red velvet cake. We also had a fabulous meal consisting of beef brisket and twice-baked potatoes, with southern-style green beans. Yum o'! Lets just tell it like it is. It is about the love of good food.
Here is a little note to all my family and friends. I love you and I am glad you are in my life. The best parts of me are because of you. Lucas, my heart is with you today as it is every day. I send my love to all of you in heaven.
